Nomor Condor by speciata Nomor Condor by speciata
Scientists theorize that this, the largest North American bird of prey, will become extinct in spite of humans. Large. dead mammals are just not part of California's scenery any longer.

* I love the fact that you can just make out the outline of the beak underneath the "hand puppet" skin of the face.

*Don't you?

They're not going to go extinct if I have anything to say about it! :)

That's exactly what I was thinking. They're really ugly when up close, hahaa.
But yeah, It saddens me, being a Californian :(

Every corpse-eating raptor has it's day, that's what I always say.
Ok, I've never said that.
Of course, we as humans have helped hasten the extinction process, charitably leaving toxic little puddles of radiator coolant in the parking lots of National Parks.:(
Bad Times, indeed.

Welcome, by the way, you're my first official watcher!
Ever been one of those before?
Seems pretty special to me :)
